MOM TIP  When traveling prepare a gift bag for each child for the plane/car ride. Filled with items such as markers, activity books, stampers, playing cards, treats, etc. Most of which can be purchased at a dollar store.  ( be sure all are quiet activities)

Mom Tip: Garbage Disposal Cleaning

  MOM TIP:  Deodorize the garbage disposal by pouring in 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup hot white distilled vinegar. Let sit for 5 minutes then run hot water down the disposal.

MOM Tip:  Give your kids ONE Challenge this weekend to learn a new skill – Tie a shoe, bake cookies, make a paper airplane, ride a bike,  crochet a scarf , learn a new card game , memorize their phone number.

MOM TIP  Whenever barbecuing, use tongs to turn the meat. A fork should never be used. For it will punch holes in the flesh and allow the natural juices to escape and loose flavor and become chewy.

Mom Tip: Cleaning Silver

Mom Tip: Instead of using expensive silver cleaners, put a dab of toothpaste on a clean rag and rub it on your precious possession. After you’ve rubbed it in, just clean it with another clean rag. Your silver will look like new.

Mom Tip: Clean eye glasses and sun glasses -  Wipe each lens with a drop of vinegar.

Mom Tip: No More Clogged Salt Shakers

Mom Tip:  To keep salt from clogging in the shaker, add 1/2 teaspoon of uncooked rice.
