I would never have considered our habits as a happily married couple as “WEIRD” until I came across this inspiring article written by Dave Willis. 7 “WEIRD” HABITS OF HAPPY COUPLES. My husband and I sat in bed the other night tapping away on our lap tops when I came across this article and began to read it out loud. We both agreed it petty much described our nearly 30 years of marriage along with many of the key ingredients we often encourage young couples to place priority on in their own marriages.
One of my favorite WEIRD Habits in our marriage is #1 COMMUNICATE with each other throughout the day (EVERY day). Often when I’m out with my girlfriends on a girl shopping day or night out to dinner they tease me at how many times my husband will call me as if he can’t survive with out me for a few hours. But in all honesty it has created our marriage to be strong, and given me a sense of security and trust for nearly 30 years. The what others may think is over the top communication has been a clear sign he adores, appreciates, and misses me when we are away from each other. During our times of longer separation from one another this habit of consistent communication is what kept our marriage strong and stable.
What WERID habit do you relate to in this list of 7 “weird” habits of happy couples ?
