Enterprise Rent-A-Car is debuting its new “Thanks to America” commercial during the 2012 London Olympics. The integrated campaign will show Enterprise’s appreciation for its customers by giving back to the community and our country through its 50 Million Tree Pledge. Following are some highlights of the campaign:
- Commercial Creative: The “Thanks to America” spot will feature an iconic voice over talent telling the story about the company’s commitment to plant 50 million trees in North America. Visuals include actual Enterprise employees as well as scenes from National Forests in which Enterprise has already planted trees. The new “Thanks To America” commercial is the newest iteration of the “Enterprise Way” campaign that launched last year.
- Why the Olympics?: The Olympics provides the perfect context to say “thanks to America” for choosing Enterprise and helping us grow from a start-up with seven Chevy sedans in 1957 to the largest/leading car rental company in North America today. The Olympic Games align with the values, can-do spirit and heritage of Enterprise as an American success story.
- Facebook Extension: Enterprise will launch a dedicated tab on its Facebook page that will allow fans to express their thanks to someone and have a tree dedicated in their honor as part of Enterprise’s 50 Million Tree Pledge.
- Why “Thanks”?: Showing appreciation and providing outstanding customer service have always been part of Enterprise’s core values. According to a recent survey from Enterprise, saying “thank you” can have a significant positive impact; however, more than 70% of Americans feel that, as a society, we simply don’t say “thank you” enough. The “Thanks To America” campaign is yet another way that Enterprise demonstrates appreciation to its customers – and encourages them to say thanks to others in return.
The commercial will air on NBC, NBC Sports & MSNBC during the Olympics broadcast from July 27-August 12, including during the Closing Ceremonies. The spot will also run online on nbcolympics.com.
