30 Minute Challenge – Christmas Planner Binder

I know it is only May but there is no better time then now to get ready for the 2012 Holiday season – before life gets overwhelmed and out of control with long to do lists for the holidays get organized with today’s 30 minute challenge to create a Christmas planner binder.

A Binder to organize and keep track of your families Christmas celebrations. I Use my Christmas planner binder to keep track each year of who I bought for, what I gave them, what traditions we celebrated, activities we participated in, recipes we used and even pictures of how I decorate my home. It has been the one resource that simplifies Christmas in my home.

Creating your own Christmas planner binder is simple. First, purchase a one-inch or larger binder, a set of dividers, pencil pouch to hold coupons and a package of clear page protectors. Then begin deciding what sections in your binder you will need. Here is a list of potential sections and things to include in your Christmas planner binder:

•    Monthly calendars to keep track of events
•    Gift lists (past and present)
•    Menus and holiday dinner recipes
•    Cookie/baking recipes
•    Celebration/tradition ideas
•    Service projects to participate in during the season
•    Holiday card list
•    Craft projects
•    Lists of to-do’s
•    Events and activity information
•    Decorating ideas
•    Pictures of your home decorated
•    Coupons
Now when the 2012 Holiday season is upon us you will be ready to plan a stress free holiday season with your new Christmas planner binder.

Great reminder that Christmas always sneaks up on me. I usually have a page in my Franklin Planner and start to gather ideas for family during the year. Then I sit down at the computer the day after Thanksgiving and order everything online. There are always deals and free shipping that day. Within 2 weeks everything comes to the front door and I wrap as they come. I don’t have a lot of people to buy for, so this keeps me from impulse buying during the year or for myself at the mall.
